Questionnaire
TITLE
Building with Mixed Occupation
How to determine which occupancy scenario to use when the building has a mixed occupation:
Buildings that are occupied by both the building owner and tenants are not expected to answer all baseline practices and questions in the questionnaire. The questions that should be answered are for the occupation scenario that applies to 75% of the building or greater. For example, if there is a building with 4 floors with the same floor plate and 3 of those floors are occupied by the owner and 1 floor is occupied by the tenant this building would be considered 75% owner occupied and tenant spaces would be exempt. As such, all baseline practices and questions that fall under the applicability scenario “Owner/landlord occupied building” are to be answered. Any questions that do not apply to this scenario and are pertinent to only tenant occupied scenarios can be marked as not applicable in the submission. Should this ratio differ (e.g. 50/50 split) please contact the BOMA BEST team at support@bomabest.org regarding your building so that guidance can be provided on which scenario to utilize for your application.
